We will facilitate conversations about equal rights, democratic values, responsible citizenship and wise governance. Collective intelligence is a set of learnable skills and behaviors that are key to sustaining our democratic institutions in the digital age. We propose a three day learning event of ±100 people representing multiple generations, ethnicities, and viewpoints. Follow up is a series of facilitated online events where participants work on actual challenges in their communities.

Drawing on decades of experience in organizational learning, we’ll share tools and approaches that invite people to apply democratic principles to create governing systems that work for everyone. Results include more engagement, improved decision making, personal commitment, and accountability.
Participants will learn skills required to convene stakeholders in exploring how to cope with complex issues. People will demonstrate greater respect, trust, and willingness to consider a broader range of options when working with messy issues. As collaboration increases polarization will diminish.
We’ll use appreciative processes to identify what people care about. We will build on individual and collective strengths. Our design team has decades of experience in participant-driven processes such as World Café, Open Space Technology, Future Search, Collaborative Conversations, Conflict Competence, and Community Building. Our focus is on inviting people to design the future for the flourishing of the children of all species for all time.
Because we feel the eyes of the unborn generations gazing upon us and hear their question of “How will you make the world safe for us to enter it?” We are moved to take action on their behalf.
We’re working on behalf of all living beings. Specific stakeholder groups include business, government, education, and community-based groups. We aim to get a cross-sectional representation of the larger system in the room to evoke an intelligent response across sectors and interest groups.
Any feedback about how to deepening this initiative.
