The emergence of a new transeuropean political offer is a crucial challenge to turn the EU election 2019 into a great success of democratisation Increasing engagement of citizens, political actors, media, addressing transgenerational, transpolitical, transeuropean visions for the future of Europe, using innovative tools, online debates, youtube channel, European political tribunes on burning issues. Challenges at stake in this upcoming election impose to start engaging citizens now!
100 conferences will move all around Europe with stops in Bochum & Mühlheim-an-der Ruhr
Our primary aim is to achieve EU democratisation via the 2019 European election. The process of informing, training, engaging citizens/media/politicians into the emerging trans-European debate in the perspective of this election must start now.
Contribute to the Europeanisation of the campaign media coverage/ Contacts between emerging European political actors and the public/ Development, creation of transeuropean political movements/parties/ Giving decision-making tools to the citizens/ Enlighten their vote/ Contribute to increase turnout
The concrete actions we designed consist of : increasing awareness on the new trans-European political offer (information, media, youtube channel, interviews...), create opportunities for citizens to compare the offer and build their opinion (online and presential debates). We count on a multiplying network effect enabled by our specific collective structure.
We are heirs of Franck Biancheri, a father of ERASMUS programme, founder of the first transeuropean political parties (IDE1989/Newropeans2009) who fought restlessly for EU democratisation, but passed away in 2012 at the early age of 51. Our team is made up of some of his 30 year-long road companions
For the citizens: to enlighten and increase the votes. For political actors: to experience a European scene and tackling European burning issues (environment, single currency, immigration, constitution, taxation, external relations...) For the media: to make sure they fulfil their task on EU level
We are open to any comments, proposals, suggestions to improve our project, getting to know the other organisations' projects, how convergence can be increased among us. The huge energy this civil society displays would hugely increase its efffiency when change agents start converging!
