ARYA aims to empower people to reclaim their lives from depression and to encourage the act of healing by provinding the best mobile tools to improve and support the treatment. Mental healthcare is gaining more and more importance within our society, there is evidence for a patient-centric tool.
In Europe about 83 Million people are affected, this means that each year 25% of the european population suffer from depression and anxiety. These numbers are likely to underestimate the scale of the problem, as the stigma attached to menatl illness is very real and the acceptance within society is very poor.
Depression is a chronic disease, the relapse rate is about 85%. Apart from that the costs of mood disorders in europe is about €170 billion per year.
People who are suffering urgently need practical support that helps them to handle their condition within their daily lives.
ARYA can be distributed easily to other countries.
ARYA will be an integral part of depression treatment in at least three european countries within the next 12 months. This means that a person who is treated because of depression or anxiety receives the app from the therapist. Patients will be empowered to track and reflect on their behavior patterns easily and intuitively; they can share their journals with their therapist. Both will gain insights about the individual “face” of the disease.
“Depression” will be less of a monster and the relapse rate will be reduced as coping with it and finding out about early symptoms will be possible in a convenient way.
First of all we want to finish the app for iOS and Android phones, including the algorythm of the smart hero feature. In addition we need to finish the dashboard for therapists.
It is important for us, that the ARYA software will be available in different languages, in order to enable as much people as possible to benefit from it (until now the basic moodtracking app for iOS is available in german, dutch and english).
To realize that we need to further test and iterate on the product, including the feedback and input of patients, therapists and researchers. We aim to set up more cooperations with patient initiatives, universities and therapist’s organizations from all over europe.
ARYA should be free for patients; we are setting up partnerships with insurances from all over europe.

It would be great to meet people that are intersted in testing our software, like patients and therapists
