Imagine that you want to play basketball. Who will be the first people you are going to invite?Of course – your friends. You start calling them or writing in social nets. But some of them are busy at work, others have classes or just do not want to go out today. You still want to play basketball and what to do futher?Our idea is to make a user-friendly service, which will help people of similar interests to find each other, gather quickly and also monitor activities around the person’s location.
The project focuses on daily life problems that everybody experiences from time to time.Being alone while willing/wanting to participate in group activities, such as playing tennis, hanging out or playing a football game.The goal was both finding the way to overcome the situation and to make it possible to derive a monetary income from those proceedings.As a solution, our project was proposed as an online social networking portal that facilitates creation of group meetings in various localities.
We are aiming for creating online social networking portal that facilitates creation of group events in various localities. Members are allowed to find, join and create activities depending on their interests. The portal should be good-looking and user friendly. If selected, we plan to reorganize already existed prototype of web site with the help of professionals in web-developing field. In a year from now, we plan to have our project already launched.
For implementation the idea, firstly, we need to create a web site, which will serve as an online platform for the service. We are mostly working on the web site ourselves, but for some kinds of job, we need to hire people. At the moment of submitting this application we have almost finished the first version of web site. After the web site is ready, we plan to launch service in our alma-mater university’s campus and then try to extend to the whole student community in Moscow. For this purpose, we will use social networks and help of our universities (MIPT and SkolTech). For the further promotion of the service, we will need advertisement. As the project grows, we will need to buy hardware and continue developing the web site.
Supposed target auditory of the product are users of big popular social networks, such as VKontakte and Facebook. Following a successful survey, it was easy to determine customers’ needs. Around six hundred users of popular networks were offered to answer the survey. Among these users were people of different ages, different professions and different interests. The results were positive and helped define targets of the project.
