Loco-Logomotion is a performative-educational project travelling by train and stopping in towns of Hungary and Romania. At each destination performances and workshops are shared in body-awareness-based improvisation techniques to adults who want to experience and consciously learn to be similarly creative and liberated as in childhood.
Tinnye - Pécs, Hungary - Oradea - Cluj Napoca - Miercurea Ciuc, Romania - Budapest, Hungary
We experienced on our own skins that self-discovery is not inspired or even supported by early, traditional educational systems. Instead there are very concrete ways showing how to draw, how to move, how to dance, how to speak. Therefore it can take a long time for the adult to find back the self-motivated, organic functioning.
In the workshop through the tools of movement improvisation and Logomotion form we create an environment for the adult to experience the process of playing, to enhance self-expression, strenghten trust within the individual and the group.
During both the performances and workshops our aim is to create an inner and outer environment in which thoughts and movements find a free avenue to arise to the surface.
The project starts off at Tinnye(HU) with a workshop-meeting both for our team and new participants. Within a 15 days period in July, our 5 performers will travel by train and visit 6 towns in Hungary and Romania.
While travelling with slow paste trains we initiate communication with travelers, gather experience from the train and observe ourselves in order to create a database of embodied stories, images, movements and sensation that we reformulate and broadcast in the form of performances at each destination (Pécs, Oradea, Cluj Napoca, Miercurea Ciuc, Budapest).
Travelling is the preparatory phase for realizing 4 indoor and several outdoor improvisation-based, interactive performances.
The performances are followed by workshops in movement improvisation and the Logomotion form.
Mixed audience and participants of artist and people with anykind of background.
We are very curious to hear any kind of comments, suggestions. Please suggest us what should be more clear for you to understand our project description.
