Network of Wellbeing
Mission for CW. is a journey from western to eastern Europe, on which at several locations participatory workshops are realised in which the local population identify local wellbeing issues and develop ideas to increase their local wellbeing. The outcomes are documented online. So the public and participants are able to exchange ideas, opinions and experiences on an online platform. The aim of the journey is to promote community wellbeing and to strengthen a wellbeing network across Europe
Possible Destinations: Germany, Netherlands, France, Portugal, Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia
Is it money alone that makes people happy? We do not really believe so and want to make a journey to promote a different idea: the concept of Wellbeing which reaches Beyond GDP like it is presented by the OECD or Bhutan. On a local scale there is not very much happening yet, which we want to change by giving an impulse with a participatory workshop to foster community wellbeing and to reinforce a european network that is strengthening this idea.
Our vision is to foster fair&sustainable development within limits of nature with Europeans in Europe. Our participative workshops provide impulses for pursuing wellbeing locally. Participants develop community-tailored, practical ideas tackling wellbeing from bottom-up. They feel connected to likeminded locals&decision-makers&empowered to make a difference. Decision-makers face local wellbeing issues. These local networks fusion to an European "NetworkofWellbeing", sharing knowledge&experiences
Starting point: workshop concept proved and tested by our master thesis and a pilot implementation; connections to like-minded people in Europe.

3.step: set up a travel blog and connect participating communities
4.step: organise workshop/ final pitch/ pot-luck venue with contact
5.step: promote workshop locally with contact 6.step: plan journey (organise transport, accommodation, etc.)
7.step: compile workshop material
8.step: get on the journey (travel blog!)
9.step: 2 days of workshop per location with final event (pitch and pot-luck)
10.step: 1 day of networking&reflecting 11.step: travel to the next community
12.step: share a final wrap-up (pictures, videos, results)
The project is aiming at the actual local population, the spatial community, their awareness of their influence on the wellbeing of the community and their motivation to get actively involved. Who, if not them, could know what is good for the community?
Results and ideas of the workshop are presented to local decision-makers and interested citizens. Thus also deciders are linked with the citizens, obtain an impression of their wishes and needs, as well as incentives to increase local wellbeing.
