H4PPS is a technology-based platform targeted for social innovation in order to promote synergies that enable the resolution of current challenges and the potentiation of the general welfare of the community.
Throughout H4PPS, students from different universities around Europe can team up creating multicultural and multidisciplinary teams (from different fields of study) to propose and implement a solution to a need identified by a non-profit organization (NPO).
There are many challenges that the non-profit organizations (NPO) face. The lack of funding and human and technological resources is significant, endangering areas and limiting its scope. Technological and human resources provided throughout H4PPS, with the Academy and it´s students collaboration will potentiate the action of the NPOs promoting well-being in communities, addressing social problems identified by the NPOs.
Our aim is a paradigm change in Portugal that can be replicated in universities around the world. Throughout H4PPS students and NPO will create a bound, enabling creative solutions or workarounds for problems identified by the ones that dedicate their lives helping others.
Our team is experienced, and deal daily with complex projects aiming for fast delivering.
We are in the first stage of this project. We are contacting non-profit organizations, the academy and the academy students to understand the needs and meet the demands (we are in the pivoting process using the business model canvas and the value proposition canvas). Our online platform is being developed using user centered methodology (we are currently prototyping). As a project management methodology, we use PMBOK as a reference. We will use agile methodologies in the software development process, namely SCRUM.
H4PPS Stakeholders are:
Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) – Identify the needs “in the field”;
The Academy – Provide the critical mass;
Students – The critical mass to propose and implement a solution;
Sponsors – Support the projects (contribute to the economic sustainability of the projects);
Community/Society – Share and participate.
H4PPS Team – Build and maintain the H4PPS online platform
All feedback is welcome!
