Have you ever heard that the most exiting and unusual things are often hidden right in front of you? If you look at the map of Europe you will find a country that arouses a lot of questions, myths and stereotypes. A possibility to discover European Terra Incognita through an exiting adventure trip to its most outstanding natural sites is offered within the project described below.
Regions of Belarus
Despite the fact that Belarus possesses of more than 10000 lakes, 20000 rivers and practically 40% of the country is covered with forests, touristic potential of Belarus is practically unknown for Europeans. The problem is significantly connected with a lack of information and absence of story sharing about touristic advantages of the country. As a result, on the map of Europe exists a white spot; Belarus is not fully involved in the cultural and social network of the continent.
The project is designed to make the first steps in solution of this problem: to provide more information about Belarus to the people in the neighbouring countries; to increase the number of Europeans, which are interested in finding out more about Belarus; to establish a closer link between European and Belarusian communities of tourists and active people.
To organize several adventure trips for active young people from all over the Europe to the heart of Belarus – to the Lakes Land. To spend several days in tent camps on each of the 5-10 selected lakes collecting information about them from the shore and on boats and studying travel possibilities of Belarus all together. To unite the results of all activities of the project within newly created web site, mobile app, which will provide collected information about lakes (with photos, text descriptions) and all available infrastructure (with location of all objects of infrastructure on the map) and general guidelines about traveling to Belarus, which will be used by the other tourists.
European and Belarusian communities of young and active people attracted by healthy and eco-friendly life-stile, nature, sport and travelling.
