Monabiphot Alumni Association (MAA)
MAC 2015 aims to establish long-term working relationships within Europe operating at the interface of various scientific disciplines united by photonics, to inspire scientists in academia and industry to push boundaries, generate original concepts, implement ground-breaking techniques and devices.
Because MAC 2015 and MAA contribute realistically to develop European human resource: 75% of Monabiphoters resident in Europe in which 67% students/young scientists and 10% of them working in the industry. Their interdisciplinary background makes them able to employ efficiently advanced technologies and develop original concepts/applications aiming at novel breakthroughs.
Monabiphot is represented in many different European countries. A firm Monabiphoters network should facilitate exchanges within Europe between various scientific domains, in both academia and industry. This idea is important for Europe to enhance research development, and explore innovations from an economical point of view. An in-need investment today is a rigorous investment for the future development of Europe.
This initiative would be considered a success if we will have been able to hold the 2nd Monabiphot Alumni Conference (MAC 2015) and establish an interactive network of academic and industrial professionals. Moreover, a second goal is to establish an official Monabiphot Alumni Association (MAA). Prospectively, this platform could serve as a reference source for young scientists and those considering doing science.
Firstly, we would like to organize successfully this conference MAC 2015, and that is the reason why we need financial support from Advocate Europe. Secondly, we would like to establish an officially registered association. Therefore, we hope to be able to gather Monabiphot alumni members through this conference in order to finalize the MAA establishment by voting for different tasks of the association. Lastly, we will promote ourselves among other scientists and the industry by establishing a website for external parties to get to know us better and for the alumni to stay up-to-date on state of the art research in the field of photonics. For all above, MAC 2015 will be one stone which kills several birds at the same time. As we have ideas, but we are young, and we are new, we need help.
We would appreciate assistance in establishing an official non-profit alumni association in photonics. Please find out more on www.monabiphotalumni.org. Moreover, every collaboration, comment, or contribution to MAC2015 is welcome at email@example.com.
