Idea pitch

The modern monetary system motivates to accumulate money. Our goal is an active circulation of money in city communities by active spending on important local projects developed by city activists. We have an ecosystem for full circle of city projects implementation and funding: the platform (Talaka) for projects acceleration and the cryptocurrency (Taler) which is not suitable for accumulation and stimulates an active exchange within the ecosystem, ie funding the projects on a circulation basis.

Where will your idea take place?

Belarus with extension to neigbouring Eastern Europe as free franchise (IT + promo + assistance)

Why does Europe need your idea?

Our idea is the simplification of access to financial resources for key groups of city activists, multipliers and change-makers what stimulates their interrelations and collaboration. It is effective and replicable across different countries, at the level town or region anywhere in Eastern Europe.

What is your impact?

The main outcome is a greater access to financial resources for city activists. As a result the carrying out of urban initiatives becomes easier and within the 1st year the total value of implemented projects is up to 500 000 Euro (in equivalent) what 10 times exceeds the funding of Advocate Europe.

How do you get there?

Each holder of cryptocurrency Taler annually pays 10 % of his/her sum of Talers as storage fee and consequently it is not suitable as means of storage or hoarding but very convenient for permanent circulation (this feature is based on W├Ârgl Experiment conducted in 1932 by Silvio Gazelle). The stimulation of spending accelerates projects carrying out, thus the circulation of currency increases and accessibility of resources becomes easier for 40 000 members of our self-generated online community.

What is your story?

I am the founder of platform Talaka, the inventor of cryptocurrency Taler, and an integrated part of like-minded people team.We identify our mission as follows: creation of digital space for bringing together activists and opinion leaders and assisting them to improve life by solving local problems.

Who are you doing it for?

The target groups are the people striving to launch of projects to improve life on local level and the people supporting these projects financially. The stakeholders are local NGOs, local business and local authorities. The beneficiaries are urban inhabitants, communities and the society at large.

What do you need from the Advocate Europe community?

We will be happy to get feedback about strengths and weaknesses of the project as well as its perspectives on the European level, so we would like to receive all possible evaluations and advice: how interesting, appealing, important and sustainable it is in the opinion of Advocate Europe community.
