We present an international art exhibition «¡WARNING!» within the annual festival of audiovisual art “Tetramatyka”. The project is aimed to establish communication cannels between young Ukrainian and Russian artists, who speak on the latest geopolitical events.

Why does Europe need your idea?

We guess that the art might be a way to solve this problem, to find common ground and to establish linkages and a dialog between two recently close nations. Especially it concerns a New Media, which the most communicative kind of contemporary art. A recovery of Ukrainian-Russian dialog is very important in European perspective as well.

What is your impact?

A considerable interest of artistic environment and average people to the project ¡WARNING! and the round table discussion “Beyond the propaganda” is caused by its topic urgency.
We expect an active participation of the audience in the round discussion and during curators’ excursions, a professional response to an event, an on-line discussion in social networks and art sites, a reflect the event in the Media (critical reviews, interviews with the curator and artists of the project)
The project will create a platform for further “art diplomacy”.

How do you get there?

The project is an exhibition of audio-visual /multimedia art works of young Ukrainian and Russian artists. About 20 young artists from different regions and different cities of Ukraine and Russia, such as: Lviv, Lugansk, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Moscow, St. Petersburg and others are invited to take part in the project.
After an opening and a presentation of art works in an exhibition hall of Lviv Palace of Art it will be held the round table discussion “Beyond the propaganda”, where the audience will be able to ask the participants all questions, communicate with each other and personally discuss all problems considering to the project topic.
Besides we will be able to explore and reveal the possibility of such dialog between different sides: Ukrainian and Russian.
