ADVOcafe will be a public space where Armenian youth can talk and realize their vision on freedom, non discrimination and equality by having possibility to try and learn from their European peers and vice versa ADVOcafe will be also a public place where European youth can meet, exchange and promote European values with Armenian peers.
There is a cluster of youth artists, performers, writers, composers, painters, musicians, sculptures, etc. who are treated as “others” and “non conformists” just because they are promoting European values in Armenia trough their art and culture. These values are not acceptable for Armenian both historically and traditionally. As a result, these part of youth population is obliged to quite Armenia, to immigrate to Europe or face daily challenges: discrimination, violence, harassment, hate crime, hate speeches and some ends with suicide.
With this project we would like to mobilize and empower young artists for their integration into mainstream Armenian society and create favorable political, legal and cultural environment for their self-realization and creative development.
